Nobody likes stepping out of a hot shower into a freezing bathroom. It’s a shock to the system. A single 400W to 600W shortwave lamp is plenty. It kicks in fast and does the job without overdoing it. For those medium-sized bathrooms (4m² to 8m²), you’ll want something in the 800W to 1200W range. Pro tip: instead of one massive, scorching lamp, try two smaller ones wired together. It spreads the warmth around so you don’t have one “hot zone” while your toes are still freezing. If you’re dealing with a huge master bath (over 8m²), you’re going to need some real muscle—usually 1500W or more across a few different lamps. The ceiling height trap Distance matters. A lot.
